The Banks Pedal Monster is Gale Banks answer to all the other throttle sensitivity boosters that are out there on the market. Banks of course has taken that to another level. They have integrated a lot of different features into their throttle sensitivity controller that are unique in the market.
Now, this throttle sensitivity controller works as a stand-alone unit with
a free downloadable app on iOS or Android devices. The versatility of this device
offers you control directly from your smart phone or from your existing Derringer
that has the Super Gauge or Data Monster.
So, let’s talk about what the Pedal Monster does. This is an OBD2 connected
device. That means it is going to supply the voltages to your APPS for better
throttle sensitivity. It is also going to bring in a few safety features and
receive feedback from the ECM as to what is going on with your motor. It can
then use that data to engage the built in safety features if necessary. That
protects your truck and yourself as well. One of the safety features this has
is a backup safety feature. So, when you put the truck into reverse, this is
going to turn the Pedal Monster off. This means you won't get that increased
throttle sensitivity while backing up a trailer. It also has an internal safety
feature that allows for continued throttle control if you have something that
happens to the circuit board while driving.
Now, let's talk about the nitty-gritty, the power levels! This device has
30 different power levels. It works in three different throttle sensitivity
segments named City, Sport, and Track. Each segment includes 10 levels of adjustments
which allows you to dial in the perfect amount of throttle for your driving
style and needs.
This set up also has a feature called low-speed trim control. The feature
is designed to keep you from burning up the tires or peeling out off the line.
Wet roads, icy conditions and things of that nature have proven to be an issue
with other throttle sensitivity boosters. The addition of the low-speed trim
control makes it a really, really, really, nice coming off of idle and ensuring
that the truck is not getting too squirrelly with you.
And finally, this leaves no footprint. So, on your newer vehicles, this is
not going to leave a footprint in the ECM. You are not going to have problems
with your dealership because of it. It is just a really, really nice unit that
you can install on your truck with peace of mind and don't have to worry about
anything, and it's going to work for you.
The Pedal Monster is out for most diesel applications as well as some gas applications.
