Product Details

Product Name: Driven Intake Air Heater Delete Plug with Snow Boost Adapter Kit
Manufacturer: Driven Diesel
Manufacturer Part #: DD-IAH-SNOWKIT
Thoroughbred Diesel Part #: DVDDD-IAH-SNOWKIT
Fitment Notes: 1999-2003 Ford Powerstroke 7.3L

If you are installing a Snow Performance Stage 3 / MPG-Max / Tow-Max Water/Methanol kit into your 99.5-03 7.3L Powerstroke Diesel, this kit will make it a much simpler job. The included Driven Diesel Intake Air Heater Delete Plug will give you a clean location for the installation of one of the nozzles (SEE IMPORTANT PICTURES AND NOTES). These Snow Performance kits use an odd-size metric boost tubing that can be difficult to connect. Our adapter fitting makes a clean conversion to standard 1/8" boost tubing. Coupled with the included 1/4" MAP sensor "T" fitting and high quality boost tubing, this kit will allow customers to make the boost connections with ease.

*IMPORTANT WATER/METHANOL NOZZLE NOTE: The Driven Diesel Intake Air Heater fitting has been tapped with a TAPERED 1/8" female pipe thread. Standard 1/8" NPT fittings (like those used for boost gauges) will fit perfectly. The Water/Methanol nozzles that we have tested have a straight thread and will NOT turn far enough into the IAH Delete fitting without modification. When using the IAH Delete Plug for a Water/Methanol nozzle location, you will need to carefully tap the port with a 1/8-27 NPT tap UNTIL THE NOZZLE FACE IS AT LEAST FLUSH WITH THE INSIDE FACE OF THE IAH DELETE PLUG. If the nozzle face is left recessed into the threaded port, the spray from the nozzle can hit the inside of the port and significantly compromise the spray pattern of the water system (potentially causing a "flooding" scenario that could damage the engine). If you have ANY questions about modifying the plug for this purpose, please don't hesitate to call or email and ask!
