Reviews

  • I have a 2007 24valve 5.9 Cummins with the 48re would this converter work in my truck and bolt right up without any modifications or anything?

    Blake Masden | 11/2/2023

    Yes

  • Does this torque converter have a warranty?

    Josh stewart | 8/1/2022

    1 year.

  • Is this converter a lock up converter like the 12v/24v's are equipped with from factory?

    Joe Smith | 5/20/2022

Yes, this is an upgrade over the  stock converter.

  • I have a 99 Ram 2500, 100 hp injectors, BW turbo, ATS valve body and edge comp box. My truck slips a Transgo single disk under lockup. Don't really want to go to a triple disk due to the harsh engagement of the lockup. Will this converter hold the power under lockup? I do not know the exact power my truck is making but the single disk converter I have in it now has to go.

    michael rinaldi | 1/19/2022

No, depending on the tuning you are using. This converter is Perfect For Stock & Mild HP Increases.

  • How do I and what is the cost to return core converter, is the core cost fully refundable? Thanks Dennis

    Dennis Abernathy | 1/26/2021

Core cost is refundable. Shipping back is customers responsibility.

  • Will the core of a stick converter and missing a lug be accepted.

    Bryan Heriford | 10/7/2020

The core dept would need a photo of the damage, to answer.

  • Will this converter handle the weight of a heavy car hauling trailer probably 6 to 65 hindered pounds

    Mark Pike | 4/15/2020

Yes, with stock to mild horsepower increases.

  • Do I need to make any modifications to use the Thoroughbred Sku #: DPCDRM1 converter in a stock 47RE transmission?

    tony darnell | 2/26/2020

    No modifications required.

  • What is the stall speed?

    Dave Leonhard | 4/21/2022

    1300 rpm’s

  • I've got 01 2500 5.9 Cummins I'm maybe pushing 350hp I have a few upgrades in trans all I do is pull my camper 8500lbs would the DPCDRM1-CRE remanufactured low stall be able to handle it or should I go with the low stall

    Tim Handle | 12/5/2021

Either should work fine for your application.

  • I have a 1997 Dodge Ram with a 12valve Cummins with a 47re transmission

    Mark Pike | 4/16/2020

  • What is different with C&C My truck was a work truck that I put a flatbed on to pull my car trailer.

    Mark Pike | 4/16/2020

What yr. make model do you have? Most cab and chassis will show “incomplete vehicle” on the door production tag.
