FASS Fuel Systems Diesel Lift Pump 1998.5-2004 Dodge Ram Cummins Titanium Signature Series 165GPH (TS D08 165G)

The Titanium Signature Series diesel fuel lift pump was engineered by FASS Fuel Systems to be the top performing, longest lasting and most reliable aftermarket filtration system in the diesel industry.  Rated at 165 gallons per hour and backed by a limited lifetime warranty our Titanium Signature Series lift pump is capable of supporting your Dodge Cummins 5.9L diesel engine with enough fuel for multiple fueling upgrades.  A Titanium Signature Series lift pump also offers advanced filtration benefits that will help protect your injection systems, effectively extending the life of both your Bosch Injection Pump and Bosch Diesel Injectors. These Benefits include an improved filtration rating of 2 Microns, a built-in water separation filter and FASS Fuel Systems patented air/vapor removal process.   Aftermarket lift pumps are important for both daily drivers and high-performance applications when looking to improve either fuel economy or increase horsepower/torque.

A common problem with Dodge Cummins 24 valve diesel engines is the failure of its factory diesel lift pump, the lift pump is too weak and unable to support more than stock horsepower and even over time can weaken causing a drop in fuel pressure.  This can ruin your trucks VP44 injection pump, lower fuel economy and disable your truck once it stops providing fuel.

The Titanium Signature Series diesel fuel pumps are the superior fuel pump and filtration system, in the diesel industry.  This is because here at FASS Fuel Systems we focus on perfecting our pumps and how they are engineered, taking the extra steps that our competitors ignore while they rush to get the product out the door.  By doing this we have less than a 2% failure rating with our motor and a design that implements unique design features you can only get with FASS Fuel Systems

  • FASS Whisper Technology (FWT) was engineered to meet the stringent demands of  today's quiet diesel engines. FASS Whisper Technology was in development and testing for over two and a half years to meet FASS Fuel System's high quality and durability standards. FASS Whisper Technology effectively and drastically reduces the sound levels of the Signature Series FASS Diesel Fuel System to a "whisper" while at the same time increasing fuel flow rates. Our competition reduces noise levels by reducing flow rates.
  • Performance Radius Cuts (PRC) are an advanced machining technique used to improve the flow of fuel through the FASS System by creating smooth flowing cuts within the aluminum housing. This prevents the reintroduction of air and vapor back into the fuel and to prevent eddy currents from forming within the corner of a 90-degree sharp angle. FASS Titanium Signature Fuel Systems are the only Fuel Air Separation System that incorporates these exclusive Performance Radius Cuts, lesser competitors commonly use T-Bone and square 90-degree fittings that can limit fuel flow, cause restrictions and reintroduce air back into your fuel.
  • Mass Flow Return (MFR) technology is used to continually polish your fuel by keeping a positive pressure on the fuel being delivered to the engine to prevent cavitation along with galling and scoring. Then returning the fuel, that's not yet needed, back to the tank after it has been passed through the filtration process, removing dirt, air, vapor and water. This means your fuel is being constantly "Polished" (cleaned), guaranteeing that your diesel truck always has the cleanest fuel possible. The MFR in combination with the optional FASS Fuel Heater options will help insure "EXTREME" cold weather operations!
  • Bolt On Bracket Mounts old mounting styles required drilling or welding when mounting your new pump. This has now been simplified with our new bolt on brackets that utilize your Ford Super Duty factory bed bolt, the bolt that secures your truck bed to your frame. Mounting your Titanium Signature Series lift pump takes only minutes and all brackets are made from machined steel for superior support and strength.

Reviews

  • does this product come with the draw straw if I selected the in-tank pump?

    Logan Halterman | 1/11/2022

    Yes.

  • Does this kit include the draw straw or will I need to purchase that separately?

    Ian stead | 9/18/2021

    Yes.

  • 2002 Dodge Ram 2500. Pump is IN tank, I bought the fass designed for pump not in tank, what’s the differences? Wiring harness needs to plugged into ecm?

    Andrew Smith | 8/2/2020

The main difference is wiring harness and suction tube kit are included.

  • My truck was retrofitted, I bought and installed the fass for the one not being inside the tank, is there anyway I can make it work? Mines a 2002 ram 2500 24v. I’m thinking the wiring harnesses are different, but I was wondering if there was any other way I could make it plug into the ecm without buying another fass. Thanks!

    Andrew Smith | 8/2/2020

Yes but it will require, wiring into a key on power source and installing a sump or draw straw.

  • If I install a beans sump with this, do I need to do anything on the(hard to reach) top of the tank?

    Joel Pearson | 4/16/2024

No, not unless you have an in tank pump. Then you will have to remove the sending unit to disconnect power to the in tank pump.

  • Do you need a sump kit if you have the block mounted pump/dont have a pump in the tank

    Zach K | 11/14/2021

No, kit will have everything you will need.

  • How do I know if I have a in tank lift pump

    Justin Hale | 9/30/2021

You would either have one behind the VP on the block or you would have to drop the tank and see.

  • I do not have an in tank pump, do I still need to purchase/use a draw straw?

    Andrew Chan | 11/24/2019

    No

  • Does the wiring harness and relay delay pump action like factory lift punp. Until engine start up to keep from over pressuring vp44. 2001 Cummins?

    Brian | 8/8/2019

Not unless your ECM has been updated and commands it.

  • What does this all come with in box

    William Saunders | 6/2/2019

This will come with all the hardware to install the pump fuel system, filters, bracket, line and fittings. We do need to know if you have a lift pump in the tank or side of the block.

  • Installed new fass no fuel coming out of #1,3 injector lines with the pump running is this normal? If I have it running it sprays fuel out at the injector where I have it loose at. I have a fass 165.

    Man Peavy | 5/30/2022

    What vehicle do you have?

  • Are these pumps strictly for diesel only?

    Wallace | 5/27/2020

    Yes

  • Does FASS void factory manufacture warranties?

    Anthoy Davis | 5/22/2019

No, FASS does not void factory manufacturer warranties because our products meet their filter specifications.

  • Will my fuel mileage increase?

    Meredith Clark | 5/22/2019

After the installation of the Titanium series unit, our customers have reported 2-3 mpg increases for pickups and .4 mpg increases for Class 8. While this is an average, FASS does not guarantee fuel mileage increases.

  • Can I install the FASS system myself or does it need to be installed by an authorized FASS dealer?

    Todd Flowers | 5/22/2019

FASS is continuously updating and changing our units to make them easier to install for the end user. As long as you take your time, read and follow the provided installation manual, installs can be completed by the end user. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call our staff of knowledgeable customer service representatives.
